Why We Celebrate

Our Mission

Every year, Columbus comes together to celebrate freedom, community, and tradition. The 4th of July Celebration is more than just fireworks — it’s a multi-day event that showcases the heart of our city through parades, music, food, games, and family fun.

Our mission is to create a safe, inclusive, and unforgettable celebration that brings residents and visitors together while supporting local organizations, small businesses, and volunteers who make this event possible. With your sponsorship and participation, we keep the red, white, and blue spirit alive for generations to come.

A Columbus Tradition

Our History

The Columbus 4th of July Celebration has been a proud community tradition for decades. What began as a local parade and fireworks display has grown into one of the region’s most anticipated summer events — drawing families from across Wisconsin to enjoy the rides, live entertainment, and patriotic festivities at Fireman’s Park.

Generations of volunteers, city staff, and sponsors have helped this event flourish. Each year we honor that legacy by continuing to build an experience that reflects the best of Columbus — community spirit, family fun, and hometown pride. Whether you’re marching in the parade, grabbing a bite at the food stands, or watching fireworks under the stars, you’re part of something special.
